New Managing Director Appointed for QD Events
The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Cherry as Managing Director of QD Events.
Most recently, Greg led the development of the commercial arm of Freeman’s UK Business, building the exhibition general contracting arm as well as the development of the Design and Build business.
Prior to this, Greg was responsible for the commercial arm of ADNEC, Exhibition Centre in Abu Dhabi being instrumental in the business achieving its fastest growth in the number and size of exhibitions secured for the venue.
In the role of Managing Director, Greg will be responsible for providing management, development and leadership for the QD Events Team. He will also be an integral member of the QD team involved in planning the future development and sustainable growth of the business.
Announcing the appointment, Peter Duthie, Chief Executive, SEC said: “We are delighted that Greg has accepted the role of Managing Director of QD Events. His extensive experience in exhibitions and commercial development will be a huge asset in driving the business forward. His appointment comes at a time when QD Events continues to grow providing a solid contribution to the Group.”

QD Events portfolio of shows include The Scottish Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Show, The Scottish Wedding Show, IRN-BRU Carnival and Independent Living Scotland, more recently adding Resonate – Festival of eSports and Gaming.
