SEC strengthens exhibitions team with two new appointments

The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) has appointed Hannah Peacock as Sales Manager and Eimear Nelson Nilehn as Marketing Manager for Exhibitions, strengthening its commercial and marketing capabilities as the campus embarks on its busiest year to date.

Hannah brings more than 13 years of experience in event sales and operations, having built her career delivering venue growth and client experiences across hotels, entertainment venues and Glasgow Science Centre, where she spent five years as Event Sales Manager leading the growth of corporate conferences and events.

Eimear joins with an event-organiser background and extensive international marketing experience, having previously overseen promotion for major live events in the global specialty coffee sector, working across exhibitions staged on six continents and delivering campaigns designed to grow attendance and exhibitor engagement.

The appointments come as the SEC continues to expand its exhibitions portfolio and attract new and returning events, while supporting organisers with enhanced sales, marketing and audience-development expertise.

Reflecting on her new position, Hannah said “My passion lies with the events industry, and the opportunity to work on major, city-defining projects inspired my move to the SEC. I look forward to working with such a talented and experienced team at such an exciting time for the City of Glasgow, and helping contribute to the continued growth and success of exhibitions here.”

Eimear added “It really is so exciting to be able to bring my international experience to Glasgow. I’m passionate about the role in-person events play in shaping a destination’s reputation, and it’s lovely to be part of a collaborative team focused on delivering exceptional experiences for organisers, exhibitors and visitors.”

In her role, Hannah will focus on strengthening relationships with existing clients, securing new exhibitions and associated events, and working closely with colleagues across the campus to deliver high-quality experiences. Eimear will lead marketing activity for exhibitions, helping organisers reach the right audiences, maximise attendance and build on the SEC’s reputation as Scotland’s leading integrated events destination.

Of the appointments, Dan Thurlow, Head of Exhibitions at the Scottish Event Campus, said “Hannah and Eimear bring valuable and complementary experience that strengthens our exhibitions team at an important time for the campus. The business is in great shape and expanding the team is an investment in continued growth both in the volume of events and formats. Their expertise in sales, client experience and international event marketing will help us to continue to create incredible experiences for organisers, exhibitors and visitors alike.”
