SEC announces strengthened stewarding and security partnerships across campus

The SEC is pleased to announce an enhanced stewarding and security model across its three iconic venues, reinforcing our long-standing commitment to safety, service and operational excellence.

Following a competitive procurement process, we’re delighted to confirm the continuation of our valued partnership with G4S, who will continue to provide stewarding and security services for the SEC Centre and SEC Armadillo.

We also welcome SecuriGroup (SGL) as the new stewarding and security services provider for the OVO Hydro, as we introduce a refreshed focus on customer experience and tailored delivery across the Campus.

This dual-partner approach allows us to apply greater venue-specific expertise across our estate and supports the SEC’s wider strategic focus on growth and best-in-class service across live entertainment, conferences and exhibitions.

As we mark our 40th anniversary, this announcement reflects our ambition to continually raise standards in visitor experience, with safety and comfort remaining central to everything we do.

Colin Hartley, Director of Operations at the SEC, said: “The safety, security and comfort of our visitors, clients and colleagues is absolutely paramount. As we enter our 40th year, these values remain at the heart of our business and our ambitions for the future.

“We’re incredibly pleased to be continuing our valued partnership with G4S, whose professionalism and commitment has supported our operations for many years. At the same time, we’re excited to welcome SGL to the SEC family. Their expertise and fresh perspective will further enhance the experience we deliver, particularly at the OVO Hydro, which continues to attract some of the biggest live acts on the planet.”

Chris Burr, Managing Director, G4S Events, added: “We are proud to be extending our long-standing relationship with the SEC and look forward to playing a continued role in supporting its reputation for world-class events. Our team takes great pride in keeping people safe and helping ensure every visitor’s experience is a positive one.”

John Gallacher, Operations Director, SecuriGroup, said: “It’s a privilege to be joining the SEC community in such a landmark year. The OVO Hydro is an iconic venue, and we’re excited to contribute to its continued success by providing the highest standards in safety, security and customer service.”

This latest development reflects the SEC’s ongoing investment in future-proofing our operations and ensuring we remain one of the UK’s leading event destinations for the next 40 years and beyond.
