Strategic Partnership for AEO and Newly Rebranded SEC

Scottish Event Campus Ltd. (SEC) has signed an annual agreement with AEO as official UK Venue Partner for 2017. The partnership includes branding opportunities and visibility at AEO signature events for the newly rebranded event campus.

Located an hour or less from three international airports, SEC is firmly on the map as one of the best-connected campuses in Europe and will host 47 exhibitions over the coming year, including seven events making their debut at the venue.

Chris Skeith, chief executive of AEO says: “Glasgow is a vibrant city with lots to offer organisers who stage events at the SEC. This year, over 40% of the exhibitions being held at the SEC Centre, the campus building for large scale events and exhibitions, are run and managed by AEO members. These include both longstanding exhibitions and recently launched events such as Ignition Festival of Motor Sport which debuted last year and is organised by Brand Events. The SEC is a versatile venue that suits the many and varied events that AEO members organise each year.”

Dan Thurlow, Director of Exhibition Sales, says: “As we begin life under our new name as the Scottish Event Campus, we’re delighted to be partnering with the AEO as both organisations share a passion for great events. We already work with many AEO members who host shows at the SEC to engage new audiences of enthusiastic visitors. We believe that live events enrich the lives and businesses of all who participate and we’ll continue supporting the great work of the AEO in developing both the industry and the people within it.”

Chris continues: “Over 340,000 businesses are located in Scotland and Glasgow has a thriving corporate sector with many national and international companies headquartered in the city. This, and the many varied social and leisure activities that are enjoyed each year by the local community make the SEC a fantastic choice for holding an event.”
