SEC has ambitious plans to expand its facilities

Our ambition is to build on the success of the existing campus by creating additional flexible meeting space and banqueting facilities. The plan includes an upgrade to the existing walkways, networking areas and a new arrival point with landscaping and a public plaza.

This expansion will allow us to host larger events and hold multiple events concurrently whilst delivering the best possible experience for all participants. The SEC is a crucial economic driver for Glasgow and Scotland welcoming over 2 million visitors to the campus in a typical year.

In June, the council’s planning committee gave the greenlight in principle for an expansion and development of the Scottish Event Campus. We’re very pleased to have received this endorsement and continue to establish a funding model.
