CELTIC Football Club have announced a special event to mark the launch of a new DVD celebrating the phenomenal success of one of the club’s most decorated players - Captain. Leader. Legend - Scott Brown.
Fans are invited to attend ‘The Celtic View Presents: An Evening with Broony' at the SEC Armadillo on Thursday, November 21. Celtic View Editor Paul Cuddihy will take charge of the evening’s proceedings, with Scott Brown taking centre-stage.
As well as discussing his illustrious career and showing segments from the “Broony” DVD, some special guests will also join Scott on stage.
In the Broony DVD, Scott reflects on his incredible career and life on and off the pitch. Being a captain is more than wearing an armband, and former managers and team-mates are on hand to share the monumental impact Scott has had on the club for over a decade - as well as a funny Broony story or two.
A proportion of the proceeds from both the DVD and launch event will go to two charities close to Scott’s heart - The Teenage Cancer Trust and Simpsons Special Care Babies. Scott has supported both charities throughout his career, naming them both as beneficiaries of the funds from his testimonial and autobiography. Part of the proceeds from “An Evening with Broony” event will also go to Celtic FC Foundation’s Christmas Appeal.
Since signing in 2007, Scott has given his dedication, passion and energy to Celtic Football Club and has played a pivotal role in delivering an incredible level of success to the club and its supporters.
Appearing in the Hoops over 500 times, Scott has won nine Scottish Premiership titles and won both the Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup 5 times. His 19-medal haul makes him the joint third most decorated Celtic player - sharing the honour with legends, Jimmy Johnstone and Bobby Murdoch.
