LIGHTING TECHNICIAN - SCOTTISH EVENT CAMPUS

As a Lighting Technician, you will be responsible for working as part of the Rigging & Special Events Team to help deliver the following:

  • Deliver bespoke lighting designs for various events.
  • Operate and maintain cutting-edge lighting systems.
  • Drive innovation and enhance client experiences.
  • Collaborate with a dynamic team to create unforgettable moments.

  • Be available during event build and break periods to co-ordinate lighting set-ups and de-rigs.
  • Be a point of escalation to the AV team on lighting matters, providing suitable guidance and support.
  • Be proficient with the function and use of the venue’s extensive production lighting equipment and operating procedures.
  • To display innovation in your capacity to advise clients and colleagues on the best lighting solutions for their requirements.
  • Maintain and manage a planned preventative maintenance schedule for the SEC production lighting inventory.
  • To establish an asset register of all production lighting equipment to ensure that all statutory requirements for testing and inspection of equipment are scheduled accordingly.
  • Support technical and production managers with planning and technical advice particular to production lighting requirements.
  • Be available during event build and break periods to co-ordinate lighting set-ups and de-rigs.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate their creative flair, matched with technical ability, and be able to highlight a proven track record of design, installation, and operation of stunning lighting solutions for world class events, which, if successful, can include everything from concerts and conferences to exhibitions and theatrical performances.
