The Scottish Event Campus (SEC), proud host venue of COP26, is looking for an experienced sales manager to join the high-performing international sales team.

 

The SEC comprising the SEC Centre, SEC Armadillo and The OVO Hydro - is Scotland's premier venue for events, concerts, conferences and exhibitions. We enjoy an enviable reputation as one of the world’s most prestigious conference venues, and The OVO Hydro consistently ranks in the top three busiest arenas globally, attracting more than a million visitors annually.

We are looking for an experienced business development professional with skills in lead generation and account management to join the Conference Sales Team.  They should be ambitious, and target driven with the capacity to win business and manage their own sales pipeline. An understanding of the association meetings industry is advantageous but not essential.

 

The International Sales Manager will take responsibility for driving new business as well as managing existing client accounts to generate new business opportunities. They should be an excellent communicator and keen networker as well as confident, passionate, agile, and self-motivated to achieve and exceed their targets.

 

The successful candidate should be comfortable in managing their own activity to ensure a healthy pipeline of business opportunities to support the achievement of their sales target.

  • Excellent ability to build and maintain strong relationships
  • Demonstratable experience in working through the tendering/bid process to win new business
  • Ability to work across multiple projects at the same time
  • Works well both independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to carry out domestic and international travel when required
  • An understanding of the Conference and Events industry is desired but not essential
  • Team player
