Scottish Event Campus celebrates 20th year of iconic Burns Supper

The Scottish Event Campus celebrated its 20th year of its Burns Supper last night at London’s Guild Hall.

The highly anticipated annual event welcomed 200 guests to the traditional evening celebration of the life and poetry of Scots poet – Robert Burns. Guests included event industry stakeholders, covering conferences and meetings, live entertainment and exhibitions sectors.

The night treated attendees to Scottish delights, including haggis, neeps, and tatties, a Toast to the Lassies and the customary Lassies’ Reply.

The SEC Burns Supper began at Royal Horseguards, then fittingly moved to the Caledonia Club,  and has been hosted at some of London’s most impressive venues since – including the National History Museum and the V&A.

Kathleen Warden, Director of Conference Sales at the SEC, said: “Each year, our team goes the extra mile to make the SEC Burns Supper a most enjoyable and memorable night for our clients.

“This year, we welcomed The SEC Meeting Academy to our portfolio so it’s great to bring our previous, prospective and existing clients together to share the story of our ever-evolving campus.”

Dan Thurlow, Director of Exhibition Sales, added: “We’ve had a strong 2017 and are looking forward to working towards an even better 2018. We’ve welcomed a number of clients this year, both new and returning, and it’s fantastic to be able to invite them to Burns to kick the year off!”
