The Scottish Event Campus have a fantastic opportunity for a Traffic Operations & Safety Assistantto join our team.

 

Comprising the SEC Centre, SEC Armadillo and the OVO Hydro, the Scottish Event Campus (SEC) is Scotland's premier venue for events, gigs, conferences, and exhibitions. Reporting directly to the Traffic Operations & Safety Manager within the Event Safety & Security Team the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting on all aspects of Traffic & Pedestrian access within the SEC.

 

The ideal candidate should have experience working in a similar environment with excellent people skills.

 

Main Responsibilities

 

  • Draft, update, and circulate Traffic & Access plans, processes, and procedures, ensuring the right information reaches every relevant department.
  • Support the integration of the Traffic Safety function into day-to-day SEC operations, collaborating closely with the wider Event Safety & Security Team.
  • Help design and roll out training programmes on Traffic & Access policies, coordinating sessions and keeping accurate training records for all affected staff.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal colleagues and external stakeholders—such as local authorities, contractors, and emergency services—to promote seamless collaboration.
  • Assist with the procurement and ongoing contract administration of Traffic & Safety– related suppliers, equipment, and systems, tracking performance and budget compliance.

  • Proven experience of working in a similar role & environment.
  • Strong relationship building skills with multiple teams and agencies.
  • Team Player with a positive and friendly attitude.
  • Knowledge of Traffic Management systems and experience in event traffic management
  • Experience working in a busy event industry environment, preferably in a Safety type role.
