Marketing & Customer Experience Executive – QD Events

QD Events deliver some of Scotland’s biggest live experiences, including The IRN-BRU Carnival, The Scottish Wedding Show and The Scottish Caravan, Motorhome & Holiday Home Show. Part of the SEC Group, QD Events create events which benefit businesses and consumers want to come to – quite simply, we run some of the best events in Scotland!
We are looking for a motivated and digitally savvy Marketing & Customer Experience Executive to help our team create and execute campaigns that attract leading businesses and visitors to our events each year, while also building our event brands for long-term success. It’s a hands-on role, and the successful candidate will get involved in a number of areas, but with a primary focus on driving a B2B marketing plan that supports the sales and sponsorship teams, driving the Customer Experience function during the IRN-BRU Carnival from mid-December until mid-January, and managing projects including the group ticket sales campaigns and the creation of event merchandise.
Other campaigns will include digital, TV, radio, outdoor, PR, and print, as well as working with event sponsors, partners and exhibitors. The ideal candidate is a great all-rounder, and is happy to turn their hand to everything from social media and copywriting, to websites, digital advertising and working with agencies.
The successful candidate should be keen to learn and get stuck in, happy to multi-task and be passionate about delivering high quality work and excellent customer service. They should also have the ability to build strong relationships within the company, and join our mission to provide a positive experience for every visitor and exhibitor.
If you have the following skills, we’d love to hear from you:
- B2B marketing experience, ideally in the events industry (though not essential)
- Copywriting
- Passionate about visitor/customer experience
- Great communication skills
- Good understanding of digital and social media
- Highly organised and good with numbers
- Creative thinker, happy to share and try new ideas
- Understanding of GDPR and data best practice
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
- Wants to be part of an awardwinning team and run some of Scotland’s best events
