TECHNICAL INNOVATIONS SUPERVISOR - SCOTTISH EVENT CAMPUS

As a Technical Innovations Supervisor, you will be responsible for working as part of the Technical & Production Team to help deliver the following:

 

  • Support the day‑to‑day operation, monitoring and maintenance of all CCTV and digital signage systems across the SEC campus.
  • Provide practical technical support during event planning, event build, live delivery and breakdown, particularly where CCTV, signage or digital infrastructure is involved.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to inspections, testing, faults and repairs in line with statutory and internal requirements.
  • Follow current legislation, industry standards and relevant codes of practice governing CCTV, digital signage and technical systems.
  • Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with agreed standard operating procedures, ways of working and operational protocols.
  • Provide feedback on system performance, usability and operational impact to inform future improvement decisions.
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with Technical & Production colleagues, Security, Operations and Event Management teams.

The role requires strong hands-on experience with CCTV, digital signage or similar technical systems, with the confidence to fault-find and maintain equipment in live operational environments. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of safe working practices and basic statutory compliance, be able to supervise others while maintaining high standards, and communicate technical issues clearly to non-technical audiences. Experience in large-scale or public venues, familiarity with IP-based or networked AV systems, and involvement in installations, upgrades or technical improvement projects are advantageous.
