Scottish Baby & Toddler Show welcomes over 15,000 at launch

The inaugural Scottish Baby & Toddler Show successfully launched at the Scottish Event Campus in Glasgow recently, welcoming over 15,000 visitors across three days.

The show, which also runs popular editions in the South East and North West of England, took its first steps into the Scottish market via the cultural and commerce capital, bringing over 150 local and national exhibitors to the event. With support from brands who attend the well-established shows, together with a mix of new companies who wanted to target the Scottish audience, the exhibition was carefully curated to ensure it was a compelling concept for visitors to attend.

With the organisers initially projecting 10,000 visitors for the launch, the final number was 15,236 as the show welcomed thousands of new and expectant parents to the event to test, try, compare and buy from a range of hundreds of products available. Visitors were also able to speak to the experts from the brands, for invaluable advice before making their important final buying decisions.

As well as the 150+ retail stands, expectant and new parents were treated to a number of interactive activities and were able to listen to expert advice on caring for their little ones. From the benefits of babywearing and baby and toddler sensory sessions, to feeding advice and baby first aid.

Clare Barker, Group Show Manager at Ocean Media Group said: “The whole team has worked incredibly hard over the last few months to ensure we delivered a quality show that our clients have come to expect from us. Launching a show in a new territory can be challenging, but the SEC have really helped us to make this edition a total success.

“We are delighted with how show went, and the Scottish audience is just fantastic. We look forward to coming back in future years and welcoming even more exhibitors and visitors each time.”

Angela Smith, Business Development Manager at the SEC, added, “At the SEC, we go out of our way to ensure that organisers launching shows here in Glasgow have the best experience with us – that goes for the visitors and exhibitors, too.

“The Scottish Baby & Toddler Show is a fantastic example of organisers reaching the wider Scottish audience through the SEC. We’re very excited to work with them, and other new organisers in the future.”

The Scottish Baby & Toddler Show is primarily sponsored by Glasgow Pram Centre, and welcomed big brands including; Cybex, Bugaboo, UPPAbaby, Quinny, Silver Cross, Stokke, MAM, iCandy, Maxi-Cosi, Mamas & Papas, bloom, Cheeky Rascals, Britax, Cosatto, Orbit Baby, Joolz, Hippychick, Mee-go and BabyStyle.
