A Landmark Glasgow Debut for VisitScotland Connect

The SEC was proud to host the Glasgow debut of VisitScotland Connect - Scotland’s flagship travel trade event. This year’s residency at the SEC supported the programme’s most ambitious growth to date, with the 2026 edition marking a record-breaking step-change in both scale and international reach. Welcoming 330 hosted buyers from 20 countries alongside 289 suppliers - including 68 first-time participants - the event demonstrated significant expansion and growing global demand.

The event also delivered a record number of meetings, with over 10,200 pre-scheduled appointments - a 24% increase on the previous year. The SEC provided the professional setting where the future of Scottish tourism was both contracted and celebrated. Located in the heart of Scotland’s largest city, the campus offers unrivalled connectivity for international delegates, alongside the dynamic expertise required to deliver a high-volume business event of this scale.
