In October 2026, the Scottish Construction Summit came to the SEC for the first time, marking a significant milestone in the event’s rapid growth. Following its inaugural edition the previous year, which welcomed around 200 attendees and 10–15 exhibitors, the Summit returned on a much larger scale, bringing together almost 2,500 attendees, 75 exhibitors and more than 40 speakers from across the UK and beyond.

The move to the SEC provided a platform for the event to expand, creating more opportunities for Scotland’s construction industry to connect, share expertise and explore the challenges and opportunities shaping the built environment. The expanded exhibition floor and programme brought together businesses, industry leaders and decision-makers from across the sector, alongside the introduction of the Scottish Housing Summit and Future Talent Hub.

The growth reflects a clear appetite for the event, with organisers already looking ahead to further expansion. By providing the space, facilities and expertise to support the Summit’s ambitions, the SEC is proud to be part of the event’s next chapter as it continues to grow its reach and impact across Scotland’s construction industry.
