- participants in vaccine trials (you must provide a clinical trial exemption certificate)
- people who for medical reasons are unable (i) to be fully vaccinated and (ii) to take a test (lateral flow or PCR)

Can I present a negative COVID-19 test to gain entry?
Yes, a record that you have tested negative (LFD or PCR) for the COVID-19 virus, taken within 24 hours of attending, will be accepted as an alternative to showing your COVID vaccine certificate.
A record of a negative test is a text message or an email from NHS Scotland received after submitting details of your test.

Please note: There will be no on-site testing or test kits available at the SEC.
I live elsewhere in the UK, how can I prove my COVID Status?
You can use the:
- NHS COVID PASS app (England and Wales)
- COVID NI app (Northern Ireland)
- Paper letter of certification issued by England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Jersey or Guernsey
I live out with the UK. How can I prove my COVID Status?
EU Covid Certificates are accepted.
If you're from other nations, such as the USA, you should use the same proof of vaccination within Scotland that you used to enter the UK.
How do you check my status?
In line with Scottish Government Guidance, our COVID Check Stewards in purple will check your vaccination status by using either the NHS Scotland COVID Check app, or visually inspecting your status on your mobile device or your paper certificate.
The app does not store or transmit any personal data during the process.
Negative COVID-19 test:
If you are presenting a recorded negative LFD/PCR test, our COVID Check Stewards will visually check the text message or email sent to you form NHS Scotland. Physical Lateral Flow Devices showing a negative result will not be accepted as proof, please do not attend with a physical device.
Are there other measures I need to be aware of?
Yes, please read our COVID Safety Measures carefully before attending.
Busy Campus Information
Multiple events are taking place on Campus this weekend, and with everyone getting excited for events ahead, we expect it to be very busy.
We want you to enjoy your visit and have a great time! We’re doing all we can to keep you safe and you can help us by looking out for each other. If you SEE something that doesn’t look right, SAY something to our security team – or report it online gov.uk/ACT - and we’ll check it out.
Here’s some things to consider:
- Get down early to avoid queues and the hustle & bustle.
- Drop-off and Pick-up - Use our dedicated free drop off/pick up zone (operates when there is an event in the OVO Hydro and will be open from 4:15pm). Click here for more info
- If you’re walking or coming from the train station, you might want to avoid congestion in the Covered Walkway and come via Finneston Street or from Partick. Click here for a detailed site map
We look forward to seeing you!
